This category provides reduced dues for a two-psychologist household. Both individuals must meet the requirements for full membership. One partner must pay the full membership dues; the other partner is then eligible for a discount.

This category is for individuals who have been full members of WSPA, are now in retirement, and work less than 10 paid hours per week. This category requires that you are at least 65 years of age or otherwise receiving social security or retirement program benefits. This is not for members in part time practice.

Full-Emeritus
     This category is for individuals who are fully retired (no longer working), and were full WSPA members for at least 20 years.
Full-Hardship

This category is requires eligibility as a full member and total annual household taxable income less than $34,000 per year from all sources. Subject to approval of the WSPA President. May only be used twice.

Associate
    

This category requires a master’s degree in psychology or related field from a regionally accredited college or university, or associate status in the APA.

Student

This category is for individuals who are enrolled fulltime in a psychology or related field doctoral or master’s degree program at a regionally accredited college or university and who do not derive any income from applied psychological activities, except stipends and other awards provided by the degree program, or must be an undergraduate with a major in psychology or related field at a regionally accredited college or university. All communication with student members will be electronic, including receiving the Washington Psychologist newsletter.

Out of State
     Psychologists who reside in other states or Canadian provinces. To be eligible as an out-of-state member in the WSPA, the person must not be actively practicing with Washington State regardless of their place of residence.
